The Colorado State Rams have defeated the Wyoming Cowboys in this year's Border War and claimed the Bronze Boot.

Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi took a knee, tossed the ball in the air and ran to the awaiting prize on the visiting sideline. The Bronze Boot is coming back to Fort Collins.

The Pokes had the ball bounce their way when they needed it, but could not capitalize with points on the other end.

However revitalized the Wyoming football program felt after its victory in New Mexico, it wasn’t readily apparent to the 36,720 in attendance for “The Border War” on Friday night at Canvas Stadium. Wyoming looked woefully unprepared in a 24-10 loss to Colorado State in the 116th meeting between the rivals set 66 miles apart along Highway 287.
