A march against abortion rights that started outside of a Planned Parenthood in Boston and drew counter protesters clad in clown gear ended Saturday with nine people arrested for disorderly

Arrests were made Saturday following an anti-abortion march clashing with abortion activist counter-protesters.

Hundreds of anti-abortion marchers faced off against counter-protesters in Boston as the two sides shouted slogans at each other. Police gave everyone a notice to disperse.

Boston police officers were seen taking people into custody when a pro-life protest march encountered a group of pro-choice counterprotesters.

A group of largely male anti-abortion activists marched toward downtown Boston Saturday. It was met by counterprotests, with many demonstrators dressed as clowns to mock the men and their message.

The “ Clown March Boston ” went on in an effort to “upstage” the “ Men’s March ” which seeks to abolish abortions. Protesters were seen in the Boston Common where multiple arrests were made, according to WCVB. Barricades were set up around Parkman Bandstand on the Common by the time protesters had arrived.
