MANILA, Philippines — Super Typhoon Pepito has made a landfall in Panganiban, Catanduanes on Saturday evening, November 16. In its Facebook post, state weather bureau PAGASA said Pepito made landfall at 9:40 p.m. As of 8 p.m., Pepito was located over the coastal waters of Viga, Catanduanes.

Tropical cyclone "Pepito" (international name: Man-Yi) has intensified into a super typhoon as it barrels toward Bicol Region.

Signal No. 5 has been raised over Catanduanes as Super Typhoon Pepito further intensified, PAGASA said Saturday. In its 2 p.m. weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said Pepito poses "a potentially catastrophic and life-threatening situation for the Northeastern Bicol Region.

Signal No. 4 is up over parts of the Bicol region as "Pepito" has intensified into a super typhoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
